Charles (チャールズ, Chāruzu ) is a male, obese humanoid creature. He is an enemy in The House of the Dead III, The House of the Dead 4, and The House of the Dead 4 Special.
Appearance[]
Charles is a slow, obese humanoid creature depicted as shirtless, or with tattered short sleeves covering his arms, and a pair of knee-high pants. He attacks either by biting, or throwing steel drums at the player(s).
In The House of the Dead 4, Charles now has a rotting skin. He wears tattered green pants. He doesn't wear shoes. In addition, he has several sewing marks on his body.
History[]
The House of the Dead III[]
Charles first appears in hordes of his own kind right outside the EFI Research Facility. When first encountered, they will merely approach the player slowly taking swipes of bites. However, the further the player(s) proceed forward, Charles will resort to also throwing large steel drums.
A variant of Charles in encountered in later chapters, with spotted gray skin an a higher level of health. Player(s) can easily go through several rounds while taking this enemy down.
The House of the Dead 4[]
Charles again appears in hordes, this time displaying more endurance. He will wobble towards the player(s), usually carrying a large metal barrel, which he throws. Otherwise, he will perform a shoulder tackle at close-range. Sometimes, Charles can throw the player to the ground, and then kick him.
